Guilty pleasures?

I was one of those kids growing up.  I wasn’t very socially prone.  An observer of sorts.  My mom would always say I would have to figure people out first before I decided if i wanted to share my well thought out words with them. 

Since I’ve grown up that has changed a little.  I’ve learned in order to be functional in a corporate office one must be friendly, talkative, and outgoing.  So I pretend to be for the most part.  j/k

So there was this time when I was little when tv was the most important thing to me.  Here I was with my port-a-potty learning to use it…dunno what age that is anymore 1/2? Yeah I don’t have children.hahah

And I hear the muppet music in the other room..and I would grab the port-a-potty and head to the room with the tv and my favorite show of the time.  At the time it was a way for my mom to know how acute my hearing was.  I sopose I wasn’t very responsive as a child.  But I think it was just my choosiness. (I may of made that word up)

Well,  I have gotten over the Muppets, but since then tv still has a soft spot in my heart of hearts.  So, I went from the Muppets to Julia Childs.  As you may be well aware my older sibling (Good Bad And Ugly) is no cook…but I would love watching those shows and learn, and have my hand in the kitchen as well.  Today there is just something about me and the Food Network now. 

I don’t know what it is, but even when they are make sardines and sauerkraut (K so techinically they don’t make such things, but if they did) there is something about the way they make it.  The technique, the care, the chopping.  I can’t get enough of it.

My favs of the moment, that I actually DVR is Giada at Home, and Barefoot Contessa.  It just doesn’t matter how bad the day, I turn on the show and instantly am at peace.
